Microsoft Outlook Problem

I am running Microsoft Outlook 2007 on Windows XP.

I started getting the error message this morning: "Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close". Every time I re-started Outlook, I got the same message. So Outlook was completely un-usable.

I fixed the problem as follows:

1. Run SCANPST.EXE (located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12)

2. Select my PST file and click Repair. It said errors were found.

When I re-started Outlook, the problem was fixed.
